Inscribed and signed by the author on the front free end paper and includes an inserted signed photograph of Jones. The dustjacket has a significant chip at the spine top, a smaller chip at the front top edge, a few tears and creases, soiling and stains. Very good cover with wear to bottom corners and a unique pattern when it catches the light. Clean, unmarked pages. Black & white photos. The afterword of Gandhi Lives was written by Paramahansa Yogananda (pp 173-78), in which he quotes from a tribute to Gandhi that he gave over the radio in Los Angeles and includes passages from Autobiography of a Yogi in the chapter “With Mahatma Gandhi in Wardha.”
